Commonly asked questions on GENESIS

Q. Can I use GENESIS in my old engine?

A. Yes, GENESIS is very effective in rejuvenating old engines, and will significantly reduce hydrocarbon emissions.

Q. Can I use GENESIS in my new engine?

A. Yes. Fifty per cent of all engine wear occurs during the break-in period. The sooner GENESIS is added to the engine the less engine wear that will be incurred.

Q. When should I install GENESIS?

A. GENESIS should be installed in the oil immediately prior to an oil and filter change. This is necessary because the activity of GENESIS in releasing carbon and sludge from the engine. In new engines GENESIS can be added to the new oil as there should be no sludge problem. The oil and filter should be changed at the regularly scheduled oil change. GENESIS will help with the seating during break-in.

Q. How long will GENESIS last?

A. GENESIS forms a metallic co-valent bond between the steel parts and the molybdenum ions. The treatment should last for a least on year and through several oil changes.

Q. How can I remove GENESIS from metal parts in my engine?

A. You can't. The film is permanent and can only be removed by abrasive activity. Since regular motor oils are allowed to have up to 40,000 PPM of particulate, the use of synthetic oils would extend the life of the GENESIS surface. The only other source of abrasions is the normal dust particles, which can contain hard silicates, that come in through the filter and are very abrasive. Only extraneous circumstances can remove the GENESIS film over time. Remember GENESIS is co-valently bonded metals.

Q. How long does it take before I feel the benefits?

A. Immediately. Usually a decease in engine noise is noted while the GENESIS is being added to the oil. RPMs will increase, and on driving a noticeable increase in horsepower is felt. Mileage will continue to improve slightly for at least four fill-ups.

Q. Is there another product like GENESIS on the market?

A. No. GENESIS is an entirely new concept in lubrication. Patents have been applied for by the inventors.

Q. There must be al least 20 oil additives which claim to reduce friction , increase horsepower, and last for 50,000 miles. Why?

A. All those products are stretching the truth. They should be required to put a long, Pinocchio nose on their advertising and their claims. The EPA will not allow any oil additive to be used in calculating Miles Per Gallon in the Corporate Average Fuel Economy ratings simply because any effect in immediately lost when the oil is changed. Claims to last 50,000 miles are spurious, and no scientific documentation has even been offered to back up these claims by any of the oil additive purveyors. GENESIS is in a class by itself - there is no competitive product which will form a covalent bond between metals in the engine oil environment. All rights to GENESIS are owned by MDEChem, Inc. of Pearland, Texas.

Q. Will the use of GENESIS affect my new car warranty?

A. Automotive manufacturers do not specify what type of oil to use and do not have a policy on oil additives. Their warranty does require that the oil be changed at the recommended regular intervals. Since GENESIS is only applied to the engine parts and is not an oil additive the manufacturers warranty should remain in full force and effect. If you maintain your vehicle in accordance with the manufacturer's suggested lubrication program, then the manufacturer's warranty is in full force and effect.

Q. How do I install GENESIS?

A. If the engine has a lot mileage and is heavily sludged then the following installation procedure is recommended:

  1. Check to make sure the vehicle is not low on oil.
  2. Have the engine warm up until the top radiator hose is hot.
  3. Slowly pour GENESIS into the crankcase over a two minute period. Have the engine running at high idle during this step.
  4. Run the engine at highway speeds for at least 30-45 minutes.
  5. Immediately change the filter and the oil.

That's it - have a smooth ride.

NOTE: IN NEWER ENGINES GENESIS CAN BE INSTALLED AT ANY TIME IN THE ENGINE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS IN STEPS 1 THROUGH 4 ABOVE.

Q. Will I experience anything unusual with my engine?

A. In rare instances the cleansing action of GENESIS releasing the carbon from the engine results in a piece of carbon being stuck on one of the lifters. This will cause a loud clicking sound. If this should occur then change the oil and filter again and drive the vehicle at high speeds for about 15 miles.

Q.What will happen to a heavily sludged, smoking engine? Should GENESIS be installed?

A. To stop smoking in a heavily sludged engine install GENESIS as instructed, drive or run for 30 minutes and then change the oil and filter. Then A SECOND APPLICATION of GENESIS should be installed into the new oil with the engine running at fast idle. All the activity of the GENESIS may be expended in the cleaning operation and the second application will renew the engine.
